Ken Flint, premier Long Island songwriter and drummer extraordinaire, has captured the prestigious ASCAP Songwriter's Award and Scholarship for an unprecedented third consecutive time. As a result of this musical "hat trick", Flint has been officially recognized by the National Drum Association and will be featured in an upcoming issue of the NDA magazine.
Over the years, Flint has studied with top instructors on Long Island including Paul Van Tom, Dan Bunge, Tom Peters and Liberty Devitto of the Billy Joel Band. An Alumnus of the Five Towns College of Music, Flint sharpened his skills at the feet of big-band legend Charlie Perry, with whom he honed his knowledge of swing, shuffle, and brush technique while simultaneously expanding his horizons in audio recording technology and songwriting.
